Everything You Need to Know About CBD-infused Beauty Products
I feel like it’s been a long time coming, but CBD is allowing cannabis to “glow-up” and provide a luxury product rather than be thrown in the stigma of being a stoner. Waiting out the CBD trend would be a mistake because there are so many benefits! It can be infused in products from mascara to serum for facials. I can’t wait to share about this amazing trend that I can totally get behind.
For those of you who don’t know what CBD is, it is short for cannabidiol - one of the over 80 compounds extracted from the cannabis sativa plant. First things first; CBD WILL NOT get you high. But it will give you anti-inflammatory properties, vitamins A, D and E, and essential fatty acids. Think of it like a vitamin, because it basically is.
Topical CBD’s most interesting attributes are its anti-inflammatory properties and analgesic (pain-killing) abilities. It has also been found to treat dry skin, psoriasis and eczema, which is why you’re seeing CBD infused in face creams, serums and body lotions. In addition to the reasons already mentioned, CBD helps suppress breakouts! Yeah, I said it, CBD helps fight acne! It does this by regulating oil production of the sebaceous glands. Many clients who typically use Accutane and spironolactone find CBD a refreshing change.
Cannabeauty is becoming a more popular term and I look forward to using it with you all, my clients. Stay tuned for my updated service menu to feature ChicBD. Feel free to comment or contact me for more information on how I’ll be implementing canna beauty into Rockin’ Beauty’s business.
